Manager HOD Engineering Services (AA)
Job Purpose
To manage and coordinate all the engineering services and project activities to ensure plant and equipment optimization.
Job Outputs
To manage all engineering personnel in their collective efforts of achieving set production targets and to lead, motivate and support all section heads in the explaining, implementing and maintenance of all strategic goals, which includes but not limited to:
o Engineering services
o Contractor management
o Support function
o Budget management and control
o Customer relationship management
o Continuous improvement
o Risk and legal compliance
o Asset management
o Infrastructure maintenance
o Strategic leadership and influence
o SHERQ adherence and compliance

Qualifications:
• National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Essential)
• Government Certificate of Competency Mines and Works (Engineering) (Essential)
• B.Degree / B.Tech Degree (NQF Level 7) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Recommended)
• Post Graduate qualification in MBA, MBL, MDP or ARM management/Leadership equivalent (Recommended)

Experience:
• Minimum of twelve (12) years operational Mechanical or Electrical Engineering experience (At least have been appointed as a section Engineer) (Essential);
• Minimum of five (5) years projects and management experience, of which at least 3 years must be on middle management level (Essential);

Accreditation and Registration:
• GCC – Mines & Works (Essential)
• ECSA (Recommended)
