Our client, a leader in the defense industry, is looking for a dynamic individual to take up the role of Manager: Information communication technology and to become a part of their team!

PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide the company with a cost effective, reliable, user friendly and integrated information system that will support and stream-line of the company business process and business decisions, now and in future.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA

• Strategy Formulation:
? Establish strategy against world class standards
? Establish policy and framework to support the company strategy
? Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated and introduced within the company
? Assess new computing technologies to determine potential value for the company
? Oversee ongoing improvement and the feasibility of systems enhancements
? Alignment with DCO’s strategic direction

• Information Technology systems:
? Determine user requirement and co-ordinate the development of a professional information system, management culture in the company
? Evaluate ICT systems against technology trends and generate upgrade program
? Evaluate system performance on a continuous basis against customer requirements and implement corrective actions where deficiencies are discovered
? Comply with governance requirements

• Implement Information systems:
? Determine implementation tactics
? Develop systems support and training material
? Train users
? Test Qmuzik upgrades/modification in the life of the company’s environment and monitor successful implementation

• Operate Information systems:
? Negotiate/design physical infrastructure
? Procure and implement infrastructure
? Make function available to end users

• Management:
? Planning, budgeting, leading, organising and controlling the activities of the function
? Stay abreast of technology and management tends
? Manage personnel
? Co-ordinate interface with the company’s IT function, improve the company’s relations
? Manage SLA’s

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• B.Com/B.Sc/T3 Equivalent
• Previous IT knowledge at senior level
• Total applied experience 10 years plus
• Sound knowledge of the company’s processes will be an advantage
• Must have sound knowledge ERP systems (Qmuzik knowledge will be an added advantage)
• Computer literacy
