The successful candidate will report into the Marketing Director Southern Africa

The purpose of this position is to provide relevant marketing services and process insights to support the SA marketing team on delivering their brand and channel objectives

Key performance areas will include but not be limited to the following :

Strategic & Financial Results
Optimise and influence regional category performance
• Develop and implement integrated media strategies
• Build brand and channel team capability on promotional effectiveness, activity planning processes, media, events and sponsorship
• Optimize marketing business processes impacting on activity planning, systems and procurement support
• Align events and sponsorship objectives to brand, region and portfolio objectives. Seek out partnerships that maximize value

Operational Results
Deliver effective marketing operations support to the SA Marketing team
• Deliver effective SAP, procurement and merchandising management support to brand, channel and regional teams
• Implement media plans and provide value add to the business
• Deliver effective and integrated activity planning and support MLT and DMOS and Integrated campaigns with clearly articulated objectives
• Deliver an integrated Events and Sponsorship plan across brand and regions
• Develop and implement integrated media strategies
• Build brand and channel team capability on promotional effectiveness, activity planning processes, media, events and sponsorship

Develops internal and external relationships and networks with organisational focus to resolve both short term issues and resolve longer term projects/work
• Build effective relations with internal and external work partners to adhere to service level agreements where applicable

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills
• A relevant and recognised post graduate qualification in Marketing and/or Commerce
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant working experience in FMCG
• Proven experience in Leading/Managing Managers
