Our client in the Financial Services based in Johannesburg is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager, to manage the implementation of quality assurance in various departments, and for expanding the quality assurance function across the organization. Ensures the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of QA systems, processes and tools which drive and support high quality engagement by the business with its customers.

Job Description:
•Conducting performance reviews;
•Maintaining and improving testing roles;
•Facilitating development;
•Evaluating training and development needs;
•Managing tests;
•Minimizing budget expenditure on tests;
•Developing testing strategies;
•Setting up schedules;
•Documenting tests findings;
•Supervising test teams;
•Testing experience should include:
•Technical test preparation, analysis and execution following agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.
•Performance test engineer experience preferably with HP tools;
•SOA test engineer experience preferably with HP tools;
•Security test engineer experience preferably with HP tools;
•Automation test engineer experience preferably with HP tools;
•Testing of 3rd party supplier solutions and working with 3rd party suppliers to resolve issues;
•Participation as Test Engineer/Test lead in one or more medium to large systems development and implementation projects;
•Experience of testing end to end solutions comprising multiple packaged and bespoke components with strong technical development background;
•Testing in both waterfall and agile environments.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
•Degree/National Diploma in I.T or Computer Science is required.
•ISEB/ISTQB or other formal training / certification in testing is desirable.
•Business degree. B.Comm or BA Commerce.
•Certificate in Total Quality Management preferable.
•8 years minimum IT industry experience, including:
•3 years minimum testing experience in the banking industry;
•5 years minimum experience in a professional testing role;
•2 years minimum experience as a Technical Test Lead;
•Technical development background.

Competencies:
•Excellent understanding of modern technical testing techniques and best practice.
•Ability to interpret test results and make improvement recommendations or raise clear defects;
•A good working knowledge of SQL, Java and Loadrunner scripting;
•Excellent documentation management skills and experience;
•Understanding of non-functional testing covering, e.g. integration, security, performance, interoperability, security etc;
•Sound knowledge of software development methodologies including waterfall and agile;
•Experience in, and current familiarity with testing in complex Portal, Oracle and Unix environments (in particular Java/J2EE; Oracle Forms and Reports; WebLogic Portal; Oracle PL/SQL, WebMethods, ImageNow, Documentum, SOA Interfaces);
•Keeps abreast of current developments and trends in area of expertise.
