An exceptional consulting firm, providing services to the resources industry is looking to appoint a Rehabilitation Specialist to manage the division. You will be responsible for providing advice, formulating rehabilitation plans and strategies, conducting field research and contributing to the growth of the rehabilitation unit. Minimum Requirements: BSc degree in Ecology or Natural Sciences (or similar) 10 years’ experience, with a focus on: • Manage and contribute to the compilation of rehabilitation plans and financial provision estimates; • Thorough understanding of soil science and how soils relate to rehabilitation; • Knowledge related to plants and suitable plants for rehabilitation (especially grasses that can be utilised for rehabilitation); • Thorough understanding of different techniques that can be used for rehabilitation; • Basic background relating to wetland assessments and practical knowledge on the principles of wetland rehabilitation; • Understanding of practical methods of rehabilitation that are both feasible and cost effective; • Understanding of ecological principles and the impacts of mining on these both pre and post mining; • Legal knowledge associated with rehabilitation, as well as international standards and guidelines; • Identification of potential shortcomings related to existing sites that have been rehabilitated and how to address these shortcomings; • Monitoring protocols that can be implemented post rehabilitation to monitor the success of rehabilitation; • Must be able to interact with multiple consulting disciplines; • Lead the marketing of the company’s different rehabilitation services they offer (rehabilitation plans; rehabilitation monitoring and audits); • Strong background related to the mining industry; • Must be innovative Should you meet the above requirements, please send a detailed CV to ****@*****.*** or call Roxanne/Colleen/Anastasia on (***)-***-****
