MANUFACTURING ENGINEER R32-40k Basic + Benefits
This exciting position is open to Equity candidates as a preference. You must be a qualified toolmaker with a minimum N4 and 5 years’ experience working as a Toolmaker in the automotive component manufacturing industry. An added advantage is a formal relevant tertiary qualification. Proven project management experience is essential and must be proven along with excellent presentation and communication skills. A high level of computer literacy in MS Office, Projects and CAD. Knowledge of metrology (GD&T) TPM, advanced problem solving skills and root cause analysis. The ability to work independently and use initiative. A high level of logical thinking, analytical and organisational ability, experience in the procurement of tools, jigs and fixtures. Experienced in APQP, QPS, PPAP and FMEA’s. In essence we need a toolmaker who has gone into Projects, who can launch new programmes, prepare RFQ’s for new products, maintain manufacturing processes and “Best Practise”, supervise and coach a team of Manufacturing engineering technicians, manage engineering changes and EC teams from concept to completion, implement new tooling and capital equipment projects from concept to sign off, use Lean principles, manage PPAP samples and prototype builds and support production.
