Job Description:

Packing Program Management
Ensure that Area Managers updates their estimates on a weekly basis
Ensure that Marketing Managers as well Commercial update their programs on the weekly packing program sheet
Allocation of estimates against demands
Follow up on progress of packing program
Manage all fix price growers packing plans and distribute directly to producers
Check availability of packing material vs programs and order in season from Packaging Material Manager to ensure availability.
Grower payments
Compile standard or special advance rates
Authorize Advances
DIP or Cost adjustments
Fix Price agreements
Ensure that costing model is updated
Pre-season planning and orders
Packaging material items to order
Support to Marketing/Business Manager
Customer registrations
Register new fruit specifications
Handles rejections and COD paperwork
Container shipping forecast
Registration renewals
All relevant QMS documentation is maintained or completed
Assistance on ad hoc sales deals
Marketing meeting – prepare information for discussion

Qualifications:

Formal tertiary qualification
At least 3 – 5 years’ relevant work experience – preferably in the fruit and/or agricultural industry.
Knowledge of the KPA’s mentioned
Attention to detail when reporting
Good computer software skills
Good communication & interaction skills with people on all levels in the organization
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
