An exciting opportunity exists to join our Africa business unit as Marketing and Communications Officer based at Head Office, Sandton, reporting to the Africa Regional Director and working closely with the Africa Marketing and Communications Manager. If you are passionate about marketing South Africa, the African continent, travel and tourism and possess all the required qualifications and skills, we invite you to apply.Key Tasks:Lead the planning and implementation of marketing projects.Implement and manage project progress and optimise accordingly.Constantly monitor and report progress of the project to all stakeholders.Compile post campaign analysis and share key learnings and best practise.Liaise with the Trade Relations on approved communications strategy, tactics and measurement.Edit content for collateral, presentations, websites and other communications/social media platforms.Handled media enquiries according to guidelines by Marketing and Communications Manager.Organise and coordinate media familiarisation trips.Attend trade shows to manage all media engagements for the appointed SAT spokesperson and compare competitor messaging, communications platforms. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSQualifications & Experience:A marketing, communication or journalism degree or 3 year diploma.Minimum of 2 years key tasks related experience.Competency in MS Office XP Suite and working knowledge of Abode design products and other related IT systems.Proficiency in either French, Portuguese or Swahili will be an advantage.
