Our client is a Statutory Body regulating one of our professional professions in South Africa. They looking for Marketing and Communications Officer.

The Marketing and Communications Officer is responsible for managing the programme and promote the profession to various stakeholders by performing public relations duties in order to support the implementing and monitoring the Marketing and Communications Strategy


Duties & Responsibilities


Stakeholder support in coordination of events; road shows; conferences etc
Reach learners nationally to promote engineering careers through Engenius workshops, exhibitions etc
Publicise as a leading brand in the Professions space
Training of Engenius young professionals
Coordination of national roadshows and brand promotion
Coordination and attendance of meetings to secure Engenius funding
Assist in the development and management of external publications to ensure that they are useful for targeted audience and content is updated, accurately and consistently
Develop content for social media platforms
Maintain good media relations.
Desired Experience & Qualification


Matric
Degree or 3 year tertiary qualification in communication/marketing/public relations
3 years’ experience in business communications, marketing, public relations and/or journalism position
MS Office suite
Must be able to work under pressure
Team player
Occasionally required to work outside normal office hours
Must be willing to travel
Valid Driver’s license
