Alternative Crops Coordinator

Established concern in the horticultural industry is seeking to employ a B.Comm (Agricultural / Marketing) graduate who is dynamic, energetic and goal driven to coordinate alternative crops.

Duties:

• Identify government policies, strategies and incentive applicable to the sector/crops


• Analyse industry trends, statistics and review overall development situation and performance


• Build consensus and collaboration among strategic funding and partners on integrated or joint programmes


• Keep close contacts with similar industries and stakeholders to follow market developments and trends


• Fundraising, planning and implementation including resource identification


• Ensure the best practices are incorporated in the development of programs and projects supporting the allocated crops


• Coordinate documentations and meetings for crop specific industry organisations


• Attend meetings in various areas


• Control and execute actions as indicated by different boards and committees

Requirements:

• B.Comm (Agriculture / Marketing) or similar a minimum requirement


• A passion for the horticultural industry and innovation with an understanding of the commercial environment


• Good Financial and Economic understanding


• Computer proficiency in the MS Office suite


• Valid Drivers License


• Fully bilingual (Afr / Eng)
