Our client is urgently seeking a qualified MEAT BUYER AND EXPORT CONTROLLER based in the DURBAN area.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Valid driver’s license / own reliable transport.
Computer literate (MS Office, Email / Internet).
Good understanding of meat and the various cuts (Beef, Lamb, Pork and Chicken).
Good understanding and experience of the meat export process.
A minimum requirement of persisting relationships with meat suppliers is necessary.
Candidate must have experience dealing with export authorities and meat suppliers.
Keeping track of all meat exportation.
Place all meat orders with the various suppliers.
Ensuring the correct processes are being adhered to.
Develop our purchasing of meat.
Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers.
Find new meat suppliers where required.
Person will be responsible for the purchase of all meat for exportation and ensuring that the export process is done correctly and in line with the South African regulations.
Complete inspections while the containers are being loaded.

Salary package offered: based on experience R20 000-00 – R 40 000-00 per month (CTC)
