This Civil & Mining construction company is looking for a suitably qualified Snr Diesel Fitter/Mechanic for its Johannesburg branch.

Well established company has this excellent opportunity available for a qualified snr diesel mechanic - Earthmoving/Construction.
Must be hands on.
General & specialized assessment and repairs on the fleet various types of earthmoving/construction plant
Maintaining & updating the Fleet service checklist and Fleet system
Liaising with Stock Controller for parts & lubricant requests
Repair & servicing of engines, gearboxes and differentials
Electrical repairs will be an advantage
Any other duties that maybe assigned from time to time
Maintaining a clean working environment
Health and safety related matters within his area of control

Requirements

Matric
Qualified Trade tested Diesel mechanic with at least 5 years' experience
Must be able to travel extensively to do onsite maintenance and repair at various sites throughout SA
Plant and equipment experience will be an advantage
Must be prepared to work long hours as and when necessary
Must be able to work independently
Strong computer skills and communication skills
Have ability to diagnose faults on all types of commercial vehicles, trailing equipment and plant equipment
Proven track record in similar environment i.e. other Construction companies will be an advantage
Have a good understanding of the costs involved to operating heavy commercial vehicles and related equipment
