MECHANICAL DRAUGHTSMAN
Market related salary package - Intermediate level
We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Draughtsman who has manufacturing and engineering industry experience. This role is within a leading manufacturing and engineering concern based in Paarl.

Requirements:
Must have a relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering, CAD, Mechanical draughting, etc.)
Minimum 3 years relevant experience is required (preferably in a manufacturing, engineering industry)
Experience in Mechanical Draughting is essential
Experience in Civil draughting will be an advantage
Strength of materials design / simulation is preferred
AutoCAD and Solid Works experience in 2D and 3D is essential

Responsibilities and duties:
Draw and design technical / 3D drawings and specifications for projects and manufacturing purposes.
Interpret site plans and develop accurate bills of quantities for logistics and manufacturing purposes.
Provide on-site and technical support to customers, contractors / installers and sales personnel.
Provide technical support and guidance for workshop staff
Production drawings
Costing and estimation: Generate bills of materials for production and procurement purposes
Other ad-hoc engneering drawings
