Job Description
Supervising and inspecting subordinates and daily work activities whilst offering coaching/mentorship and training on the job to ensure maintenance according to the organisation’s standards
Implementing COP’S, policies and procedures whilst ensuring adherence to the Mine Health & safety and all legal requirements
Co-ordinating maintenance as well as internal and external audits
Ensure the execution of scheduled and non-scheduled mechanical repairs and installation works
Communicating with clients and supervisors to inform them of maintenance activities and the performance thereof while establishing equipment availability
Performing administration duties to ensure accurate record keeping as well as compliance thereof
Required to work in accordance with the Mines code of practice and reporting on any observations of this not being done.
Minimum Requirements
Valide Matric Certificate
N6 Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Around 5 years’ experience in a similar management role, quarries preferred.
Crusher plant and aggregates/production experience is essential .
Management/ Supervisor training and/or a qualification an added advantage
Relevant Mine Health and Safety Act knowledge essential
Computer literate in MS Office Suite
Valid driving licence
