My client is a Multinational Pharmaceutical company who seeks to employ a Medical Manager/Product Physician - Anti- Infectives
Job Description:
The Product Physician is responsible for supporting the clinical development program and other medical/marketing programs at the country level for the products assigned, as well as for providing technical support to other team members (including marketing, sales and customer marketing) and external customers. In addition the product physician is required to spend at least 40% of the time in field working with but not limited to Key Opinion Leaders, Heads of Departments, Customers and patient groups.
Key Performance Outputs:
The Product Physician is responsible for supporting the clinical development program and other medical/marketing programs at the country level for the products assigned, as well as for providing technical support to other team members (including marketing, sales and customer marketing) and external customers. In addition the product physician is required to spend at least 40% of the time in field working with but not limited to Key Opinion Leaders, Heads of Departments, Customers and patient groups. Specific responsibilities include: • Provides appropriate guidance and advice on clinical and scientific issues to internal and external customers • Interacts with advisory groups to develop new approaches to studying and developing the assigned products • Provides support to the Director of Clinical Research (DCR) for the local clinical development program to supplement regulatory filings and support marketing strategies of assigned products. • Identify areas of research that would capitalize on the strengths of the assigned products and further differentiate them from other agents. • Collaborates with the Country Medical Director and the DCR to ensure coordination of local, regional and international research efforts at the country level • Assists the DCR with specialized medical support, investigator selection and clinical trial feasibility studies • Interacts with internal and external customers to facilitate dissemination of clinical research data • Works with Drug Safety and Medical Information to ensure that bibliographical files and other information devices for the products assigned are properly updated. • Assists Medical Information with replies to queries in therapeutic area of expertise. • Recognise and report adverse events according to PGP Standard Operating Procedures as they arise. • Provides medical support and rationale for regulatory affairs and their interaction with the regulatory agencies
Minimum Requirements:
• A degree in medicine - MBCHB • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a Product Physician • Computer literacy
Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry and Healthcare environment • Information Resources • Communication Techniques •Product knowledge required •Knowledge of local medical and regulatory procedures
