Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Degree in Mining Engineering
• Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
• Extensive experience with mining related software: SUREPAC with mine scheduling; MINE 2.4D with EPS; MINESCAPE; DATAMINE
• In-depth understanding of the mine planning and scheduling process especially in open cast projects
• 10 years Open Cast Coal Mine experience including Mine Planner experience
• Strong technical and communication skills
• Experience in mining operational management
• A thorough understanding and awareness of Health, Safety and other relevant mining legislation
• Project Management skills
• Computer Literate
• Drivers License
• Must be able to pass a Medical test as well as assessments if required

Duties:
• Develop, interpret and execute LOM and other mine planning and scheduling models
• Manage the planning and scheduling process
