provide input to the multi manager team across numerous areas including fund research and reporting and oversight of fund management process for the purpose of growing assets under management and achieving the required investment return objectives.


Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate fund performance and positioning to sales and distribution team
Communicate fund performance and positioning to Company Financial Planners and Company Private Bankers
Communicate fund performance and positioning to independent Financial Advisors and Asset Consultants
Manage relationships with potential and existing Asset Managers with whom we invest
Conduct thorough investment research by using quantitative and qualitative methods
Make appropriate investment recommendations based on research conducted
Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Company Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc)
Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy
Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Company
Monitor investment funds regularly by Risk and Compliance Officer using regulatory guidelines
Attend monthly investment management meetings for fund review and oversight
Conduct research and due diligence prior to investing underlying funds
Ensure timely production of reporting material by gathering and presenting relevant information
Adhere to the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Code of Conduct for investing
Day to day management of funds by implementing relevant processes
Support the achievement of the business strategy; objectives and values by reviewing the Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems; process; services and solutions are aligned
Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management
Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe
Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction
Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations


Qualifications:
Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and post graduate degree in Finance and Economics
Experience:
3-5 years experience in similar or related role
