National Customer Manager, Retail Express

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Area Manager the National Customer Manager for Retail will manage and develop the assigned sales territory in order to maintain and grow the Company’s market leadership position. Achieve individual sales targets while meeting key customer needs.

QUALIFICATION/ EXPERIENCE
Qualification :
• Matric

Experience:
• Knowledge of Air Express – 2 years
• Proven track record in sales – 4 years
• Proven communication skills at managerial and director level
• Professional negotiating skills at managerial and director level
• Functional independence
• Self motivator / self starter
• Stress management
• Time management
• Problem solving and analytical techniques
• Extensive experience with Key Accounts
• Strong planning and problem solving skills
• Valid driver’s licence
• Own reliable transport and current driving licence
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and develop a portfolio of prospects and existing customers
• Establish customer agreements, ensure pricing guidelines are applied, profitability
targets are adhered to
• Develop and implement a strategy to major accounts in shortest possible time.
• Exploit all opportunities from existing and potential customers
• Develop and implement a personal sales plan and call cycle that incorporates
targets
• Manage all customer related information through communication and sales tools
• Monitor customer performance, loyalty and satisfaction to measure success,
business fluctuation and possible business at risk. Take appropriate corrective
measures.
• Continuously develop the Company’s knowledge, commercial awareness and own skills.
• Promote the Company’s brand image and values through own appearance & behaviour
• Support the sales team in management of “sub-accounts” in the territory
• Ensure maximum penetration of the Company in all accessible markets
