National IT Manager
Job description


Main duties will include but are not limited to:
• To ensure a stable network and infrastructure environment with maximum uptime in respect to systems within our control and area of responsibility.
• Provide cost effective technical solutions without jeopardising on quality, stability and compliance to the IT Corporate standards.
• Ensuring existing hardware used within the Southern Africa cluster organization meets the minimum specifications as set out by the ISC / Head of IT MEA for the required Company applications.
• Drive commitment in utilizing ISC services where ever possible.
• These include support topics, development and integration services.
• Drive the standardization of existing Infrastructure as much as possible hence readying us for involvement in the digitalization project.
• Bridge the gap and enhance communication and support functions between IT and the business/functional units.
• Implement and manage internal processes within the IT team, Ensuring proper record keeping and streamlined processes hence driving productivity.
• Managing overall compliance in product and service offering To the business.
• Team leader and overall project manager.
• Close cooperation with the business and functional units.
• Full alignment with the regional demand management process managed by the Head of IT MEA (Dxb MI-R and Jnb MI-RI).
• Full alignment with regional/corporate compliance (e.g. Software, Hardware, etc.) D

Your skills and experience
• At least 5 - 7 years’ experience in a similar IT and systems solutions role.
• At least 5 years’ experience in management role including a project management responsibility will be a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of the freight forwarding / supply chain and logistics industry will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Windows Domain (Active Directory, GPO, Sites & Services, DFS) / MS Exchange.
• Knowledge of Server & workstation configuration / Windows OS / VMWare / WSUS / McAfee EPO.
• Experience in managing Orange and Telkom Business Services / NAS / KPN and RSA Backend / Software One.
• Proven experience in Enterprise Vault / Airwatch / LAN / WAN / Voice / Networking / MS SQL / Commvault.
Knowledge in administration of in house IT systems is essential.
• Proven experience with e-commerce, electronic media and customer facing value products in general will be required.
• Advanced presentation skills, especially the ability to structure a presentation to address a clients’ needs and deliver training to key stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage and execute multiple priorities in a timely manner across a variety of projects.
• Ability to demonstrate analytical and IT engineering skills.
• Thorough understanding of operational processes in a logistics environment.
• Ability to provide solutions to all relevant stakeholders and ensure the implementation thereof.
• The ability to adapt to and learn the framework of the Company information systems with demonstrated ability on any other supply chain / logistics software.
• Highly motivated and a self-starter.
• Proven ability to provide effective solutions.
• Proven ability to make a contribution to a national management level and regional IT team interactions.
• Must be able to travel for business on an ad hoc basis.
