Our client is searching for a National Sales Executive for their Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate would be one who has good working knowledge of the freight industry, customs brokerage, warehousing and value added information/services. He/ She must have the ability to sell solutions to prospective customers in industry.

Job Overview:
• Responsible for growing the company’s business in accordance with corporate objectives
• Serves as the main sales contact point for new prospects
• Must also find own and develop new leads, convert them into customers
• Highly motivated and skilled individual with strong knowledge in import/export ocean and air logistics/customs brokerage
• Warehousing is also critical for success

Duties and Responsibilities:
• New sales to improve revenue, meet sales targets, product growth initiatives, maintain customer relationships
• Find and develop new sales prospective (cold calling) - a wide variety of accounts are essential to success, big, small, diversified industry.
• Value added role for both the prospect and the company – find a win/win solution to improve relationships
• Build relationships to improve revenue, market share and profitability
• Self manages various administrative work inclusive of own estimations and rate sourcing from third party suppliers, shipping and airlines
• Adhere to internal reporting systems and keep them up to date
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets as defined by company
• Must be able to close own sales independently although management support are readily available
• Performs any other reasonable duty requested by management

Requirements:
• 5 Years plus in outside sales with an acceptable track record in the freight industry with strong diversified relationships throughout the industry
• Specific job knowledge and experience in sea and air imports and exports. Warehousing will be a bonus
• Natural ability to sell and to represent the company in all relevant aspects of our business
• A unique combination of good interpersonal and communications/ presentation skills , both written and orally, coupled with a sharp business approach will be an advantage
• Must be able to work on Compu-Clearing and MS Office
• Must have a valid driver’s licence with own transportation in good running condition
