Our client, a leader in the Motor Insurance industry is currently in search of a National Sales Manager for their Johannesburg office.

This position will involve the following:

1. Obtaining profitable results achieving approved budgets trough the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counselling, skills development and product knowledge development.
2. Managing the sales team.
- The successful candidate would be required to Manage a Sales team of +/- 8 Sales Consultants
- Human Resources such as recruiting potential sales candidates if the need arises in regions
- Assign sales territories and set sales quotas
- Training / Mentoring / Guidance /Motivating within the team
- Enforcing policies & Procedures
- Ensuring Monthly deadline and submission dates are met
- Managing and Controlling Debtors nationally
- Creating a team work environment.
3. Present & sell company Products & Services to potential Clients being compliant Motor Dealers
4. Prepare action plans/ Targets and Budgets nationally
5. Develop plans to acquire new customers or clients, through direct sales techniques, cold calling, and
business-to-business marketing visits.
6. Prepare presentations/ Proposals and sales contracts.
7. Ensuring Sales Material is presentable and up to date
8. Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service (Internal and External)
9. Manage existing accounts through quality checks and dealer visits on a national basis, monitoring
customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts
10. Develop and implement special sales activities to improve product sales.
11. Analyse sales statistics by:
- Project sales and determine the profitability of products and services
- Preparing an annual budget,
- scheduling expenditure,
- analyzing variance,
- initiating corrective actions.
12. Maintaining and expanding customer base by counselling district sales reps, building and maintaining
rapport with key customers, identifying new customer opportunities.
13. Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities and or product and service
changes, surveying customer needs and trends, tracking competitors.
14. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional
publications, maintaining personal networks.
