SPECIFICATIONS:
• Provide subject matter expertise to the CSOC regarding fault/problem management function
• Identify problem areas and propose solutions
• Monitor releases (Netcool/Smarts/Siebel SRM) and ensure functional continuity (especially ensuring that integration between Netcool/ Siebel
SRM works viaFusion after changes or releases)
• Firm management of CSOC/NMG delivery deadlines and expectations – must have bit of a benevolent dictatorship mentality
• Knowledge and practical experience around the Remedy integration of Netcool will be an added advantage
• Provide Support on Netcool Views availability for CSOC
• Make sure Alarms are Presented in different Netcool Views
• Troubleshoot when Netcool missed critical alarms, enrichment issues in Netcool
• provide reports for logged incidents on problematic devices to CSOC
• Make sure Netcool tools used by CSOC are available and usable. (Ping Tool, Incident Creation Tool)
• Log incidents with NMG for further assistance
• Make sure Netcool integration with Siebel is working as designed
• Housekeeping removal of dead or decommissioned devices in Smarts and Netcool

QUALIFICATIONS:
• BSc Computer Science degree or related IT Diploma is advantageous
• 3+ years’ experience in network monitoring and systems support

REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong understanding of Network monitoring tools in a multitier environment using Netcool Omnibus 7.x / RightiTnow ECM / EMC Smarts
• Strong understanding of Netcool WebGui - Netcool Views
• Understanding of CRM Systems Siebel / Remedy
• Capability to write Linux shell Scripts
• Database skills – ORACLE and MySQL
• Understanding of Routing and Switching Concepts
• knowledge of SNMP protocol
• Understanding of general internet services, HTTP, SSH, FTP
• Alarm enrichment and Integrate SOAP API and Webservices
