Network Administrator

Main purpose of the job
Support, implement and maintain all activities of IT operations such as administration tasks, software
and hardware products, network maintenance deployed in the organisation.

Location
8 Blackwood Avenue, Parktown.

Key performance areas
Provide effective first level user support and maintenance with quick turnaround times
First and second level system administration
Identify possible projects, manage the technical planning and take ownership these projects
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrates effective self-management
Required minimum education and training
Minimum A+ and N+, MCITP certification

Required minimum work experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a desktop support environment

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities
Due to several projects being off-site the incumbent would need to be in the possession of a valid
driver’s license with their own transport and have the ability to travel
Must be able to take ownership of all allocated functions and projects
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines in an ever changing environment
Ability to exercise discretion, work independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team
Must have a high level of customer service orientation
Strong problem solving skills will be desirable
