New Business Development Manager
Pharmaceuticals
Purpose:

A well-known pharmaceutical organization urgently is seeking a New Business Development Manager to join their organization who will be responsible for to developing and innovating pipelines for prescription (generic and ethical brands) that will leverage the prescription category and brand strategies and drive sustainable profitable growth and market share improvement

Key Job Outputs:

Develop an innovation pipeline that meets the identified gaps in the category and brand strategies

Product solutions identified to fill gaps in strategy and timelines in place to deliver on strategy
Develop a network of international suppliers via attendance at trade shows, internet searches and follow-up on email enquiries
Develop and grow strategic alliances partners in conjunction with the strategic alliances co-ordinator
Business and Commercial plan & process development & implementation to enable launch of the product

Appropriate sourcing of new business to achieve speed, uniqueness and ROI
Local and international trend monitoring and insight development used to drive differentiated and profitable portfolio development through thorough trend analysis
Networking with global suppliers and in-house functional areas to speed to market on new business and new products i.e. innovation as a percentage of sales targets achieved
Liaise and drive R&D process on behalf of the commercial team
Ability to negotiate and conclude licence agreements with third parties

Qualifications:

Pharmacist / Business / Marketing / Science Degree or Diploma
Experience:

5 – 7 years Pharmaceutical experience with at least 2 – 3 years in a Regulatory environment
Record of progressive responsibilities and significant accomplishments with particular emphasis on NBD achievements
Salary: R850k – R1.1m
