Minimum Requirements:
1. Matric
2. Must have a valid code 10 drivers licences with valid PRDP
3. Excellent Geographical knowledge of Gauteng
4. Knowledge of distribution operations customs requirements
Responsibilities/ Duties:
1. Coordinate the scheduling of vehicles and resources required to effectively cover all shifts in order to ensure service standards are achieved and sustainably maintained.
2. Assist with the analysis and review of delivery and transportation systems and networks while making recommendations for review by management in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Ensure all incoming orders are processed and that the correct sequencing is followed and the daily pre-set picking and packing targets are met, liaising with drivers, dealing with branches and service partners regarding any queries that may be raised, ensuring that the team contribute to operational success.
4. Minimise damages by ensuring freight is loaded correctly according to box instructions and where relevant ensure new handling procedures are implemented.
5. Implement compliant and comprehensive security processes that will minimise shrinkages inclusive of checking consignments and ensuring that all stock matches with the schedules allocated.
6. Provide administrative support through the completing of the CSD handover, floor report, daily report, daily filing, action requests from CSD and pre-alerting for outgoing freight, completing of missed delivery reports, missed collection reports and ONX Reports.
7. Create a positive experience and atmosphere through the professional engagement with both internal and external contacts including dealing with direct enquiries in a courteous manner.
8. Lead the team through coaching, developing and motivating subordinates including follow-up of team and individual performance against targets and objectives.
9. Ensure that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with company specific regulations.
10. Be able to do route planning.
11. Ability to work on fleet management system to ensure drivers are abiding by the rules of the road.
12. Ensure all deliveries and collections are processed through our systems including
Cargo handling awareness, reporting of incident and accidents, necessary forms to be completed within specific time frames
