APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS
• BCom Transport Economics / Logistics / Agricultural economics degree
• Minimum of 3 years working experience
Grain industry, freight transport (road) exposure preferred
• Rail would be an advantage but not compulsory
• Able to function independently
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment with multi-tasking skills
• Strong in numbers and reconciliations
• Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans (1st) and English (2nd)
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized
• Excellent Negotiation skills
• Experience within an office environment
• Must be organized and willing to adapt quickly to changes
• Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast past and pressured environment
• Must be able to efficiently solve problems relating to sales and transportation of goods
• Must be proficient in Excel (Advanced)
• Must be prepared to work outside of office hours, i.e. 07:00 – 18:00

KPA’S
• Transport quotation / liaising with transporters
• Liaising with Silo Managers / Farmers & arrange loading
• Book trucks in to load at Silo’s / Farms
• Movement planning and scheduling
• Coordinate product delivery schedules with Client and other facilities
• Book trucks in to offload at Client / other Facility
• Providing timely and accurate updates to customers
• Processing of daily Transport Orders
• Handle Transport Invoice Queries, Claims etc.
• Update Customer / SOM spreadsheet


• Request Offloading Info (depending on contract terms) daily and weekly
• Capture daily offloading info received from Customer and send to General Ops
• Handle Customer Invoice queries, when received from General Ops
• Send Contract update to Trade
• In Transit Exposures
• Check loads on unapplied and in transit reports – flag for logistics
• Small releases on stock sheet – notify logistics to close where applicable
• Check rates on Trade 1 – correct where applicable
• Closing of contracts
• Transport Report for Traders
• Transport Accruals
