Position: Operations Manager
Location: Highveld, Mpumalanga
Appointment Date: 1st March 2017

Our client, a well renowned supply chain company has an exciting opportunity for a Operations Manager to join their team.

Main Job Purpose:
To lead the day-to-day operations of Highveld, working across multiple areas to ensure maximisation of productivity, compliance with polices and standards and effective operations. Constantly evaluate the efficiencies, quality, safety standards, risk measures and efficacies of the operation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Operations Management, Transport and Logistics Management preferred
• 7 - 10 years’ experience
• Valid drivers license
• Has a good general understanding of the processes, systems, assets, resources, key personnel, and business functions within a site
operations environment.
• Experience in a management role within the supply chain and transport and logistics industry.
• Problem solving ability, able to demonstrate a level of practical awareness and problem solving to achieve efficiencies in a site environment.
• Strong numerical understanding and commercial acumen
• Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
• Team and networking skills
• The capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
