• Efficiency improvements – Detailed plan of action with milestone efficiency improvement commitments.


• Supply chain improvements – Ensuring material availability on line at the right place at the right time.


• Quality improvements – Ensure that quality improvements are made throughout the supply chain to ensure good quality products are supplied to the line, ensuring good quality products are produced and supplied to the customer.


• Establishment of a strong world class operations team through best practise implementation.


• Responsible and accountable for setting up budgets and then ensuring compliance to the set budgets.


• Continuous improvement in line with OEM requirements.


• Optimal utilisation of all resources


• Setting and Cascading of goals throughout the department, ensuring reviews are held in accountability sessions in order to drive the required improvements & change required.


• Utilising correction action process to ensure root cause analysis and effective corrective actions are implemented and maintained.


• Capacity analysis coupled with short, medium and long term strategies.


• Strategic responsibility, ensuring operations can cope with overall company growth drive. 


• Broad based training, development plans and succession planning and action.


• Effective planning process (measured mainly through schedule adherence)


• On time customer order fulfilment


• Liaise with customer ensuring that customer relations are at an acceptable level, in line with quality, cost and delivery (3 basic customer requirements).


• Ensure that impeccable customer service levels are maintained.


• Implement processes and systems with output measures in order to enhance a work smarter approach within the operational team


• Effective asset care system

• Min Matric with a relevant Engineering Degree.


• Min of 5 years in an Operational Management position, linked to a manufacturing facility.


• SAP knowledge would be an advantage.
