ORACLE DBA

• Responsible for the provision of day-to-day database administration and support, including resolution of database problems, data backup and restore, and the production of database performance statistics.
• Includes the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, and monitoring of database and associated software products, in support of operational systems and the development environment.
• Ensures data recovery, maintenance, data integrity, and space requirements for physical database are met through implementation of policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management.
• Able to interrogate databases using an appropriate programming/query language. Works under the direct supervision of a senior technical leader.
• Understands working as part of a project team.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Diploma in IT
• Knowledge of PL/SQL
• Knowledge of relational databases
• Up to 3 years’ experience in database administration
• Functional knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL Server.
• Competencies required: time management skills, detail orientation, good administrative skills, stress tolerance, analytical abilities.
