PBT Group, leaders in Business Intelligence, has a requirement for a Oracle Solution Developer. DUTIES: 1. Database Development (Transact SQL) - A good understanding of DDL (Data definition language) and DML (Data manipulation language) - Development of rich database applications using stored procedures, cursors, ref-cursors etc. - Knowledge of various indexes available, hash tables, materialized views and other performance - improvement concepts. - Deep understanding of the Object oriented design and SOA principles. - Optimisation of SQL code and database objects - Debugging of the Oracle- PL/SQL packages/application on TOAD or other tools. - Experience in developing PL/SQL scripts 2. Support - Investigation / bug fixes of errors reported by users and database administrators - Doing root cause analysis 3. Architecture - Understanding of general Database Architecture 4. Communication - Communication between the business, analyst and technology teams - Communication within the project and support scope | ||||
Skills required | ||||
- IT Degree would be advantageous - Knowledge of / experience within the financial services industry (preferably investment banking) advantageous - Extensive development experience in PL/SQL. - Previous experience of working as part of the Sprint teams and knowing AGILE concept advantageous. - Good working knowledge of UML/ERD/BPM. - Previous experience of using TFS or other source control tools. - Knowledge of languages and technologies Required - Oracle 11g /PL/SQL Advantageous - Sybase /SQL Server - .Net Development Experience - XML | ||||
