A Leading FMCG Company based in the East Rand is looking for an Outbound Logistics Manager to join their team.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Manage outbound workflows by analyzing productivity reports, cases dispatched, fleet time utilization, vehicle capacity utilization, on time delivery stats while ensuring cold chain adherence.
• Lead and manage outbound logistics staff including performance, discipline, communication, training, staff planning/utilization and expenses.
• Manage department budget and all variable expenses
• Ensure adherence to company risk control standards and transport legislative requirements.
• Build and maintain effective interdepartmental and customer relationships.
• Develop internal controls to minimize incidents and accidents.
• Maximise efficient and effective utilization of fleet through using technology such as Routing, tools, telematics systems and other supply chain interventions.
• Liaise with retailers regarding frequency of deliveries, lead times, updating of tailored service package, etc.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
• Matric with tertiary qualification in logistics pre-requisite (logistics, road transport or business management)
• Comprehensive working knowledge of logistics management (minimum 5 years)
• Strong Leadership and people management skills.
• Industry leader in terms of understanding routing, driver management and fleet optimization.
• Personal Attributes: Assertive, decisive, analytical, operational focus, deadline driven, strong problem solving and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Track record of meeting operational objectives and customer expectations
• Able to work effectively under pressure to meet operational needs.
• Have a working knowledge of Cross Border Operations.
