Land this Dynamic job! We are seeking a versatile PICU Registered Nurse with exposure to NICU or vice versa, to join this combined unit of 10 bedded NICU and 5 bedded PICU, in a highly specialized private facility.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assessing a patient’s condition and planning and implementing patient care plans
• Providing advanced life support
• Responding to emergency situations, using nursing standards and protocols for treatment
• Assisting the paediatrician with procedures
• Observing and recording patient’s vital signs
• Ensuring that ventilators, monitors and other medical equipment function properly & are adjusted to patients needs
• Administering intravenous fluids and medications
• Ordering diagnostic tests

Requirements:
• SANC Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Have Neonatal ICU and/or both Paediatrics ICU experience
• Post basic in Paediatric ICU will be advantageous.
• Have exposure to Cardiothoracic patients
• Be able to work independently and know what to do when a complication arises.
• Ventilator competent
• Able to interpret a blood gas & act accordingly.
