· Matric / Grade 12
· Diploma in Packaging Technology and or similar qualification
· 3 years’ experience in a Packaging / Artwork Design/ Supply Chain environment
· 1 years’ experience with primary packaging in pharmaceutical or food industries
· Computer literate is essential
· Packaging equipment knowledge will be advantageous
· Desktop publishing, Apple Mac knowledge will be advantageous
· Project Management experience will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities:
· Provide services and products according to departmental/project plan.
· Assess proposed components and compare with dossier / registration requirements; draft scientifically supported comparison/motivation for submission of changes which may be indicated.
· Evaluate technical aspects of product packaging in accordance to site requirements timeously to meet demand plan
· Ensure zero defects by problem solving supplier production issues timeously and cost effectively.
· Evaluate sending site primary and secondary component requirements and specifications, and adjust for site processing equipment as required
· Coordination of packaging projects for New Product Launches, realignments, packaging changes and special projects from initiation until final handed over to Artwork originator. Tracking process until commercialization.
· Ensure effective communication to Suppliers in order to maximise operations outputs.
· Investigate manufacturing problems which may be component related.
· Drive process improvement and output improvement by assessing the optimizing equipment/component interaction
· Work closely with component suppliers to resolve component problems, and improve component interaction with manufacturing equipment.

· Analyse and communicate information to internal and external customers.
· Ensure Standard operating procedures are available and utilised.
· Ensure information is confidentially maintained and securely stored.
· Training and knowledge is acquired to accommodate new technology.
