Highly energised individual will deliver excellent customer service, accurate information and support to a pastel and payroll client base, while working in a highly pressurised environment. Support will be provided on-site or telephonically to clients and will involve in-depth accounting and technical assistance. .

Skill Requirements

• Accounting knowledge and application thereof
• Working knowledge of the windows platform
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Good knowledge of computer hardware as well as networking environments
• Good understanding of pervasive databases and SQL databases
• Solid experience in a customer service environment
• Effective troubleshooting skills
• Good telephone and email etiquette is essential
• Must have own transport
• Experience in Sage Pastel Partner/Xpress essential
• Experience in cloud software (beneficial)
• Experience in Sage Payroll & HR (beneficial)
• Experience in a support related role essential

Qualifications/Courses

• Background in IT degree/diplomas will be beneficial
• Sage Pastel Accounting PCI (Certified installer)
• Sage Pastel Payroll PCI beneficial

Personal Qualities

• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in business English
• Troubleshooting and problem solving are key traits with a calm and patient approach to the problem
• The role will require the consultant to be out on the road for the majority of the day
• Must be able to work independently but still be a team player
• Great positive attitude and able to show initiative
• Professional and business etiquette is a must
