Payment Analyst

Cape Town – Northern Suburbs

Our client, a leading Retailer requires the service of a Payment Analyst to assist the Project Manager for Banking and the General Manager Banking to evaluate, analyse, execute and report on new and existing projects on the Payments & Banking portfolio

Key performance areas:

? Co-ordinate take-on of new business initiatives and grow existing business
? Work with banking & other partners to improve new & existing processes and procedures to reduce cost and improve services to branches through management of agreed SLA’s
? Establish and maintain an understanding of the company’s data landscape, particularly as it pertains to banking related data
? Assist in defining business problems with appropriate questions and by proposing a specific analysis approach
? Support the business owner and project manager in applied statistics in exploring data, building models and deploying models
? Performing and presenting analysis findings
? Establish and maintain operational reports & reporting on implemented projects to ensure continuous profitability

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a degree in Commerce/ Finance or Information Computer Science
? 3 years’ experience in data analysis in a financial environment
? 3 years operational reporting experience
? 3 years financial control experience over sales & expenditure
? 1 year experience dealing payments
? 3 years knowledge of Financial and Management Accounting
? 3 years knowledge of basic Taxation, Mercantile and Company laws
? 2 Years knowledge of banking (credit card switching, acquiring and issuing)
? 3 Years knowledge of retail or FMCG
? 3 Years knowledge of Business Intelligence
? Report writing skills in Excel or Word
? Excel data analysis skills (including Pivot tables)
? Project management skills
? Analytical skills
? Excellent computer literacy
? SQL skills
? Problem Solving Skills
