An exciting opportunity is available for a research engineer in the fields of photometry and radiometry. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be research and development of new techniques; technical design and development of custom-made fit for purpose systems, including characterisation and automation; measurement and analyses of data; technical reports as required; provide input and implement laboratory plans for budget, capital and business plan, as relevant to the area of responsibility.

Key Requirements: MEng (Electronic Engineering); 3 - 5 years’ working experience in related field (radiometry, optical design or photonics); driver’s license essential; capability to assume responsibility for and successfully deliver on assigned research projects; ability to function within a team to achieve a common goal; good problem solving skills are required as well as relatively quick decision making capabilities; any experience networking on an international level will be an added advantage.

Remuneration: Market related and dependent on experience.
