We require a strong PHP Technical Architect working on complex intelligence platforms. If you have extensive object-oriented PHP and MySQL knowledge this position may be exactly what you want for your next technical step.

We are currently seeking a top quality Back End Web Developer with strong object-oriented PHP knowledge and experience to join our team. Our applications have a large database of information we access 24/7 plus our high traffic websites.

You will work directly with other IT experts, marketing and sales teams making valuable contributions to our business from our Muizenberg offices. The office provides easy access to public transportation options with working from “home” alternatives allowed from time to time depending on the workload and importance thereof.

Responsibilities
• Design, develop, maintain, test and document web applications
• Maintain application changes (content changes, code fixes, etc.)
• Provide second and first level technical support to customers
• Ensure quality projects are delivered in a timely manner
• Research and review bugs, problems and continuous improvements through collaborations with business partners
Position Requirements
• Proactive, goal-oriented, reliable character and self-structured way of working
• BS in Computer Science (or related field)
• 3 plus years object oriented PHP back end development experience
• 1 plus years Zend Framework 2 coding and implementation (Required)
• 3 plus years with MySQL 5, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery) and HTML
• Experience with Eclipse, Git, PHPUnit, PHPDoc, Linux (Debian), REST, SOAP and web services understanding is required
• Structured architecture best practices
• PHP certifications desired but not required
