Our client requires the service of a detail orientated, highly computer literate Planning Manager to develop plans in order to optimise capacities and demand from the business.

Key performance areas:

? Master planning schedule
? Manage space availability /capacity between DC’s to enable implementation of operational plans
? Manage DC space in terms of efficiency (space utilisation) and productivity
? Manage Planning related aspects pertaining to store openings and closures
? Manage alignment between supplier and DC operating cycles
? Resolve planning related Branch queries (to be delegated to DC Planning Managers)\
? Manage 3rd party transport service providers
? Daily extracting plans
? Operational work planning, priority setting and scheduling
? Operational performance monitoring
? People and enabling capacity management / Resourcing
? Input into structures & roles
? Process improvement, process policies, procedures and performance standards

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a degree in Logistics/ Engineering/ Statistics
? Experience within a similar role would be advantageous
? Proven knowledge and experience in warehouse management systems
? Highly computer literate
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Hardworking and reliable
? Strong attention to detail
? Excellent planning and organizational skills
? Problem solving skills
? High level or numeracy
? Must be willing to work shifts
