JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: Managing the plant and asset operations and maintenance. Provide asset ownership framework and develop policies and procedures to effectively support business operational requirements. Foster and maintain high level Business ethics and achieve Operating Group strategic initiatives.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
• Manage the Business in context of effective construction ability, logistical planning, lean production and supply chain management
• Manage a planned and systematic preventative repairs and maintenance programme.
• Management of the financial and administration function within the Business Unit.
• Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
• Ensure compliance with Quality management system.
• Ensure legal compliance within the Plant and Assets Business Unit.
• Lead the plant division, responsible for asset base of R 1 Billion
• Manage value proposition with internal clients-Typical Clients-Building, Civil Engineering, Organization and Mining.
• Extensive business integration to ensure plant availability to fulfil business requirements
• Ensure a transparent view of the cost reporting, financial reporting and forecasting process by including Organization oversight, but promoting project and business unit ownership.
• Compliance with all Legislative and Governance Requirements.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Tertiary qualification: National Diploma and / or Degree within the Construction field will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 5 years - Financial Management Experience
• Minimum 8 years - Business Unit Leadership experience
• Minimum 10 years - Heavy Equipment Management
