The plant technician will be part of the team responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operations of the power stations. This entails not just actual maintenance activities but also planning and reporting. The daily activities are split evenly between administrative and technical work.

The position and will report directly to the General Manager, Operations & Maintenance.

More specifically the Plant Technician will have the following responsibilities:
1. Daily inspections, monitoring of plants & collecting technical data.
2. Drafting of accurate reports, including Excel graphs and spread sheets. This includes new reports as well as updating of existing records.
3. Ensuring that all the required maintenance of the power stations is completed to the applicable standards. This also includes the updating of maintenance schedules, and the continuous improvement thereof.
4. Procurement of spare parts and equipment. This includes getting quotes, making out purchase orders and update stock inventory.
5. Supervise projects related to the operation and maintenance of the plants.
6. Assist hands-on with the annual shutdown and maintenance of the plants.
7. Manage environmental issues and health and safety issues as required.
8. Partake in monthly meetings as required.

10. Local travel between plants as required.
