Requirements

A nursing qualification and registered with the SANC as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse- must be with medical aid experience
Grade 12 with computer literacy
Knowledge of imeds and impilo
An enthusiastic, motivated, well organised individual with initiative and able to handle pressure
Able to work shifts and overtime as required
Must be customer service orientated
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite
Team work essential
Prior knowledge and experience of admissions and medical terminology

Responsibilities
Develop a sound working relationship with internal and external shareholders
Conduct a clinical pre-assessment of patient to identify any clinical risk
Perform administrative duties to support the patient services team
Provide accurate ICD and CPT coding of future event in order to obtain accurate authorisation from insurer
High standard of completion of documentation and accurate capturing of data
