What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the specialist machining sector. All duties would take place in this context.

* Turning, boring, milling, planing, shaping, slotting, grinding, drilling metal parts
* Fitting and Assembling Metal Parts into Cabinets
* Read Drawings
* High precision manual machining
* High speed manual machining

Key Job Deliverables:

* Ensure quality machined parts that conform to spec
* Produce Dimensionally Accurate Parts
* Work at a Fast Pace

Background work experience:

* 3 years Precision Manual Machining
* 3 years Fitting and Assembly
* 3 years Manual Machining Tools
* 3 years Reading Drawings
* Fitter and Turner Red Seal Trade Test
* Ability to perform accurate manual machining
* Performing precision manual machining of parts which includes: turning, boring, milling, planning, shaping, slotting, grinding or drilling metal stock or components
* Fitting and assembling complex metal cabinets for industrial equipment. Includes assemblies and sub-assemblies.
* Deep knowledge of the various tools used for precision machining purposes such as lathes
* Ability to read 2D technical drawings and machine according to the drawing
* Advantageous: Specific Experience in Cabinet Machining

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of R300K to R360K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
