Printers Electrical Technician (W352)
* Qualification in electrical or electronic degree, diploma or matric, electrical trade test, must have knowledge of electrical circuit components (resistors, diodes, transistors, relays, contactors, etc.), must be able to use general electrical equipment (multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, etc.), must be able to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams and must be computer literate. *
Location: Cape Town
Description: A well-established printing company in South Africa is looking for a Printers Electronics Technician and Trouble Shooter to join them. The successful candidate’s duties will be: installation of new and refurbished printing presses, service and maintenance of printing presses and bindery equipment, tend to breakdowns on printing and bindery equipment, fault finding and repairs on printing presses, preparation of quotations, ordering parts and refurbish second hand presses and bindery equipment.
Key Requirements: Qualification in electrical or electronic degree, diploma or matric, must have knowledge of electrical circuit components (resistors, diodes, transistors, relays, contactors, etc.), must be able to use general electrical equipment (multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, etc.), must be able to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams and must be computer literate.
Additional Requirements: Experience with, or knowledge of, AC drives, programming of AC drives and testing of AC drives; experience with, or knowledge of, DC drives and testing of DC drives; experience with, or knowledge of, PLC and with programming of PLC and experience with, or knowledge of repairing of PC boards. Must have knowledge of printing presses, must have knowledge of bindery equipment (e.g. Stahl folding, Polar guillotines, Muller Martini) and must be willing to do standby and overtime as required.
Remuneration: Market Related
