Our client, an international Pharmaceutical company, is looking for an experienced and qualified Process Control Development Engineer at their head office and factory in Aeroton in Johannesburg.

Job Purpose

To ensure the effective functioning of all AICC PLC equipment (Software and Hardware) through software design and development upgrades.

Required Learning

National Diploma / B.Tech in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering;
Minimum 3 years in Electronics / PLC experience (Control logic, Compexlogic, SLC and PLC 5) and Instrumentation
Minimum 3 years Production and Automation Management experience;
Computer Literacy: MS Office.

Key Job Outputs

Prepares, monitors and controls the relevant expense and capital expenditure budgets;
Monitors compliance with the requirements of GMP in the manufacturing environment;
Ensures that all changes made to process control software and hardware are controlled in a standard way to ensure that the integrity of the software, hardware, backups and documentation.
Responsible for researching, designing and developing new systems and devices which will be used to control, monitor and regulate industrial processes and operations.
Performs the necessary software validations.
Functions as a Project Co-ordinator i.e. ensures that projects are completed on time/ within budget / satisfied customers and to the required quality standards.
Complies to the required SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) requirements;
Complies to the requirements of the AICC Quality Management System
Be able to work with Siemens, Allen Bradly, Omron, Mitsubishi programs
