Our client a leader in the Engineering sector are looking to engage the services of a Process Design Engineer to provide complete engineering design services of special tools, jigs, fixtures and stands to company in an innovative and cost effective manner.

Responsibilities

Compiling Assembly / Manufacturing Data Pack’s from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Create bills of materials incorporating inspection requirements, machines to be utilized, heat and surface treatment, Jig/ Tool/ Fixture & Gauges.
Compile globally competitive estimates for assemblies including detail components/ Tools/ Jigs/ and fixtures with the resources and identifying new machinery and processes required.
Liaise and follow up with all involved in the manufacturing & assembly processes / problem solving/ improve through put/ optimization processes during industrialization.
Liaise with tool design, NC programming, manufacturing & assembly facilities on new parts and assemblies.
Inputs to assembly line and factory layout.
Provide inputs to design reviews and design changes on projects.
Develop and implement industrialization processes / procedures.
Develop test procedures and build history.
Commission assembly process.
Maintain assembly process.
Implement configuration control.
Assist with quality responsibilities (ISO and System acceptance).

Qaulifications

Mechanical Engineering design skills.
Creo and CAD.
Proactive problem solver.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Liaise with customer and clients
B Tech. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Extensive experience in assembly and component manufacturing (min 5 years).
PC literate in Word, Excel & Projects.
Vehicle manufacturing experience would be an advantage.
Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team and represent the department when required.
Ability to structure own work load and meet schedules.
