They currently have an opportunity for a Chemical Process Engineer, with 5 years of experience in a similar position in the projects industry, to form part of their division dedicated to engineered technologies. Here you will be involved with process design equipment sizing, test work, technical proposals, commissioning and also equipment enhancement.

Job Description

• Conducts and is responsible for process design equipment sizing based on customer requirements and best industry practice.
• Conducts and is responsible for test work in the companies’ lab and third party locations including sites.
• Prepares related test work reports and presents results to clients, third parties and the companies team.
• Prepares and presents the technical proposal including review of client/third party specifications, prepares detailed lists of process and technical deviations all with the aim to lead to acquisition and successful execution of projects.
• Visits customers and actively participates in meetings to assess and clarify technical matters.
• Proactively suggests and evaluated new applications and new products.
• Provides technical support to other parts of the organisation and its agents on a case to case basis.
• Advises project management on process requirements, performance tests and guarantees.
• Prepares handover documents to project management.
• Prepares process section of Operating Manuals, performance tests procedures.
• Prepares and clarifies control philosophy documents.
• Performs process commissioning including performance tests and trial runs after mechanical completion, prepares commissioning and final handover reports and client liaison after start up.
• Report on quality problems and improve ideas.
• Proactively promotes to clients, possible equipment enhancements as well as Service and Maintenance Contracts in association with the aftermarket department.
• Actively promotes company image (liaison with customers, suppliers and media), exhibition work, attend seminars.
• Support costing and estimating of company products.

Qualification and Experience: Desired Skills and Experience:

Chemical Engineering Degree
Minimum of 5 years in a similar position in the projects industry
Good interpersonal/communication skills, planning and organising ability
