SUMMARY

Our client, a global leader in molten metal flow engineering and technology, requires a Process Engineer (Rotaries) to oversee the design and implementation of the rotary kiln processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimising current processes and maintaining process documents
Ensures that he maintains the efficiency of production to reduce costs
Provide daily support to the production team to improve throughput, quality, safety, cost and delivery.
Provides support to Production Management (Monitoring bagging plant, waste/slurry and dolomite fines etc.)
Develop standardised operating work instructions for the upgrade process
Performs risk assessments
Develops routines and best practices to ensure product quality.
Monitors rotaries’ performance with respect to speed, cost, quality and delivery.
Leads problem-solving activities
Supports trials on new rotary products
Drives continuous improvement, using ”Lean Manufacturing and best practice methodology
Process upgrading projects and implementation thereof

Rotary Kiln operations and production

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering.
3 to 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment
Extensive experience in process design and excellent technical skills
