PROCESS SPECIALISTS (X2) – EQUITY

Minimum requirements:
• National Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical) or equivalent
• 3 Years’ production or engineering experience
• A working knowledge of analytical fault detection
• Sound knowledge of SPC, FMEA’s, Control Plans, PPAP/APQP, MSA and problem solving techniques


Duties:
• Prevention, detection and analysis of losses.
• Compile Pareto graphs on a daily basis – required to zone in on problem areas using the 80/20 principle.
• Share information in the form of trend graphs in the mini business area on a weekly basis.
• Implement controls to identify glass loss areas and report on action plans to reduce, by means of statistical methods. Present graphs and trends on a weekly basis.
• Identify improvement opportunities for process (man and machine)
• Problem solving; Root cause analysis and corrective actions implemented.
• Participate in FMEA meetings regarding applicable loss and actively contribute by investigating/resolving areas of concern
• Keep FMEA’s active by identifying potential and identify areas of failure and conduct regular process audits in the area.
• Control work instructions through updating, auditing and reporting and compile corrective actions when required. Ensure standardisation across all shifts.
• Experiment with new process parameters, equipment and ideas to improve process and equipment capabilities.
• Comply with environmental objectives and environmental system requirements as stated in system documentation
• Engaged in continuous development of occupational expertise and aiming for capable processes through capability measurement.
• Support NPD and defining process of new part development and buy-off ISER during NPD sign-off
• Write and Modify NWI’s, FMEA and Control Plans; to address changes highlighted during NPD.
