We require a dynamic and self-motivated person to arrange and manage procurement of intricate components and materials from our various suppliers.

Administration of the Bill of Materials of our various product lines, Liaison between the design office and production manager. Administration of PO's and GRN's on the computer system (Syspro knowledge is advantageous). The suitable candidate will be required to work on multiple projects simultaneously, keep track of fine details and ensure that the right components are at the right place at the right time.

You should be able to spot potential problems in the supply chain before they occur in the production process, and display innovative thinking and problem solving. Basic technical knowledge is advantageous. Attention to fine detail and highly organised administration is an absolute necessity.

Since we are a small and close knit team, interpersonal skills in a high pressure environment is a must. Negotiation with suppliers will be required. The position will also require you to full fill additional office administrative tasks when the production work load is completed. This may include anything from assisting the sales team and finance team to answering the phone on occasion and liaise with customers. In short: the position is primarily focused on procurement, but will require you to be involved in all aspects of the business. From time to time, you will be required to assist with stock take, and you will be required to enter the workshop on a regular basis and confirm the progress and status of the various projects underway.

Computer skills required: Outlook and Excel (Important!). Syspro or Pastel knowledge is advantageous.
Work hours: 7am to 4 pm.
