Key Performance Area
Manage request for Bids/Proposals processes and review and /or approve all doucments going out for quotations, tender and adverts and submissions to tender committee
Manage human capital by ensuring that the procurement staff keeps abreast of all the new developments in the Supply Chain Environment
Ensure that request for Bids/Proposals lead times are adhered to and manage buyers KPI's
Reporting
Monitoring adherenceand compliance by buyers and business to internal procurement policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with legislation relating to Procurement activities
Ensure the efficient management and control of function/ resources in accodance with the stipulation of the PFMA, fraud prevention and risk management principles, corporate governance, legislation, company policies, processes, regulations, delegation of authority
Manage procurement escalations from end users
Review contracts and all procurement documents before relevant signature
respond to supplier queries
Participate in contract negotiation and tender negotiations
Manage and promote spend with BEE suppliers and SMEs
Technical Silks and Experience
BTech or BCom Degree with Supply Chain or Logistics and Purchasing Management as major
5-10 years Procurement Management experience in a medium to large organisation
Advanced knowledge of all logistics and purchasing operational processes
Knowledge of rules, policies and procedures related to Procurement function
Knowledge of International Procurement
A Thorough knowledge and understanding of the relevant system functionality / specifications
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Projects
Working on Oracle System Application will be an added advantage
